Job summary

Roll·Rite® Covering Solutions seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support electrical systems, with a focus on wire harness design, schematics, and product development. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of hands-on experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to take a project from concept

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with wire harness design and electrical system development.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical components, connectors, terminals, relays, switches, fuses, and circuit protection.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring, and components for new and existing products.
• Design and develop wire harnesses, including wire selection, routing, connectors, terminals, splices, protective coverings, and labeling.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and BOMs.
• Select appropriate electrical components, connectors, terminals, wire, fuses, relays, switches, and other hardware.
• Develop harness layouts and ensure designs meet electrical, mechanical, environmental, and manufacturing requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues and provide technical support to production and service teams.
• Perform electrical testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production products.
• Develop test procedures and assist with validation of electrical systems.
• Review and approve engineering changes related to electrical systems and wire harnesses.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure electrical components and harnesses integrate with mechanical designs.
