Job summary

Cognito Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team to support the design and implementation of complex wearable electro-optical systems from concept to production.

You will specify, test, and document electronics from system to component level, and work to meet project timelines. Responsibilities include designing, testing, debugging, and verifying hardware, owning subsystems, and collaborating across engineering disciplines to drive design

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE with equivalent experience in a regulated industry.
• Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation.
• EMC design experience and compliance knowledge (IEC 60601-1 preferred).
• Battery management and low-power design for portable devices preferred.
• Experience with wearables or portable battery-operated products preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and verify hardware using analog, digital, and power electronics.
• Own electronic subsystems from component selection to system integration.
• Lead verification testing, debugging, and root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and mechanical engineers.
• Provide schedule and budget input to support projects.
• Document hardware designs and maintain design history files.
