Job summary

Cognito Therapeutics, Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team.

You will design, test, and implement complex wearable electro-optical systems, from concept to production, providing system and component-level documentation. The role requires hands-on hardware development, experience with EMC, battery management, and embedded protocols, and collaboration with systems, software, and mechanical engineers to deliver reliable products.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or MSEE required with experience in a regulated industry.
  • Experience with EDA tools for schematic design, PCB layout and simulation.
  • EMC design experience required; battery management and low-power design preferred.
  • Experience with wearables or portable battery-operated products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and ISO 13485/21 CFR 820 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, debug, and verify hardware using analog, digital, and power electronics.
  • Own electronic subsystems from component selection to system integration and verification.
  • Lead verification testing, debugging and root-cause analysis with technicians.
  • Provide schedule and budget input to support projects.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, software and mechanical engineers on new designs.
