Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Baton Rouge team.

The role focuses on planning, design, and delivery of electrical, instrumentation, and controls systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The engineer will develop electrical designs and construction documents, perform engineering calculations, and support projects through construction and commissioning while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to meet schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–10 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in electrical design for water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience with EI&C contract drawing packages using AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70/70E/101/820.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design low- and medium-voltage electrical power distribution systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Develop Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) contract drawings and schematics.
• Perform engineering calculations including load, breaker sizing, conduit sizing, voltage drop, and fault current.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines and review P&IDs.
• Support construction through shop drawings reviews, RFIs, start-up, and commissioning.
