Job summary

Carollo Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Power) in San Diego to design electrical power systems for water facilities. You will perform load calculations, routing, MCC/switchgear design, and prepare specifications with guidance from senior engineers.

The role requires 6–12 years of electrical engineering experience, PE license, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred. Excellent communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• PE registration is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
• Field investigative and start-up experience.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities with minimal supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer.
• Carry out load calculations, conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and generation of specifications.
