Carollo Engineers, Inc. in Portland, OR seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead detailed electrical power systems design for water facilities, including load calculations, conduit routing, MCC/switchgear design, and specifications.

Requirements: 6–12 years in Electrical Engineering, PE registration, BS in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with NEC, NFPA 820, NESC, and strong communication with clients.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years experience in Electrical Engineering.
• PE registration is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with power system applications: short circuit, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, power factor.
• Field investigative and start-up experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESC.
• Familiarity with IEEE color code standards.
• Strong client interaction and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities with minimum supervision by a Senior-Level Electrical Engineer.
• Perform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation.
