Job summary

Carollo Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and optimize electrical power systems for water and wastewater facilities in Albuquerque, NM.

You will work under a Senior Engineer to develop detailed designs, calculations, and equipment specifications while coordinating with project teams and clients. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of electrical engineering experience, a degree in electrical engineering, and familiarity with NEC and NFPA 820 standards.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Familiarity with power system applications, including short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor.
• Field investigative and start-up experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESC.
• IEEE color book familiarity.
• MS Word and Excel proficient.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter with client interaction ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities with supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer.
• Perform load calculations, conduit routing, MCC and switchgear design, and generate specifications.
