Job summary

Tesla Laboratories is seeking a General Electrical Engineer to provide design oversight, review ECPs/RFDs, CFAT plans, and technical data submissions for government and DoD vehicle programs. The role supports production, quality, and test activities and requires travel about 25% to integrate with Army and USMC platforms.

Candidate should have deep knowledge of system engineering, vehicle electrical and software systems, and proficiency with PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5-2009.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of system engineering and vehicle design.
• Expertise in vehicle electrical systems and vehicle software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Engineering design oversight for engineering-related tasks.
• Review/approve ECPs and RFDs in Government Windchill System.
• Review/approve Technical Data Package submissions (drawings).
• Review/approve CFAT plans and reports.
• Review/approve assigned CDRLs.
• Support production and quality teams (vehicle fabrication, assembly, finishing, test, PPAP, CFAT).
• Support STS work directives as assigned.
• Support test activities and bring issues to final resolution.
• Ability to travel in support of above duties (est. 25%).
• Expertise with Army and USMC tactical or combat vehicles integration design development and platform integration activities.
