Job summary

TAP Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on designing digital, RF/analog, and mixed electronics hardware across multiple platforms and domains, supporting integrated product teams throughout lifecycle stages.

You will contribute to hardware design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing, including prototype fabrication and validation, with opportunities to work on space, land, sea, air, and cyber projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph clearance.
  • 5+ years of overall engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics hardware design, analysis, manufacturing, and/or test.
  • Experience designing PCB schematics and routing in CAD software (e.g., Altium).
  • Experience developing electronics test requirements, plans, and procedures at system/component level.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical components and systems, including schematic capture and routing layout for digital, RF/analog, and mixed signal PCBs.
  • Performing engineering analyses.
  • Fabricating, assembling, and qualifying first article engineering prototypes.
  • Developing and executing test plans and procedures.
