Job summary

The Mission Essential Group, LLC (MEG) in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the IBS-ES program. The role focuses on maintaining the IW/CIB Integration Testbed, evaluating waveform-level impacts on CIB operations, and aiding in troubleshooting and optimization across IBS-ES and related services.

The ideal candidate possesses a TS/SCI clearance, a BA/BS in Engineering or Computer Science, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong networking/system analysis skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and network performance tuning experience.
• Experience with DoD UHF SATCOM systems, protocols and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the IW/CIB Integration Testbed to support integration testing, risk assessment, and evaluation of IW and CIB operational impacts.
• Provide test environments, data, and technical support for CIB terminal vendors, including UCTS-enabled testing and validation activities.
• Conduct laboratory testing of CIB-PT capabilities and assess risks associated with IWCS changes, upgrades, and service allocations.
• Monitor Downlink Monitoring Equipment and analyze system logs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve CIB and IWCS performance, availability, and reliability issues.
• Investigate operational anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and assess impacts across IBS-ES, CIB, and related enterprise services.
