This position involves performing electrical engineering designs and reviewing electrical designs for natural gas pipeline facilities. The Electrical Engineer supports multiple projects by providing design expertise and technical review. The role includes leading electrical engineering aspects of projects and collaborating with designers and engineers to produce construction drawings. The ideal candidate is open to learning other aspects of pipeline and pipeline facilities design.
Electrical Engineering Professional Engineering (PE) License in Illinois with the ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed.
Current or prior consulting experience at an engineering consulting firm or EPC.
Knowledge of medium voltage and higher voltage systems.
Familiarity with electrical distribution and transmission systems.
Understanding of PLC systems.
Knowledge of fire and gas detection systems for industrial buildings.
Experience with electrical design for compressor stations.
Knowledge of communication equipment such as cellular radios and network systems.
Experience with arc-flash studies.
