Job summary

Associates Systems is seeking a highly skilled electrical engineer for an on-site, full-time position in the United States. The role focuses on analog, digital, and RF design, performing hardware troubleshooting, and supporting production test systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to coordinate design and integration tasks, read schematics, and utilize tools like Creo Schematic and Altium. A STEM degree and relevant experience are required, with salary in the 155k–185k range.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with test instrumentation, electronics, and reading schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and test equipment in factory/test environments.
• Experience with analog, digital, or RF designs at subsystem/system level.
• Familiarity with Creo, Mentor, Altium, and DX Designer tools.
• Basic knowledge of C/C++/C# to read code and understand interfaces.

Employment type: Full Time W-2 or Contract

Pay Rate: 155K - 185K. Depending on experience and skills match

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and three (3) years of relevant experience Required:
• Experience with factory/laboratory test instrumentation, electronics (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, network analyzers, etc). Ability to read drawings/schematics and troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation in Factory Test Platform solutions.
• SYSTEM DESIGN: Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF designs at subsystem or system level
• Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Creo Schematic, Mentor Capital, Altium, DX Designer
• SOFTWARE/COMM: Basic or introductory knowledge of common software languages (C/C++/C#) to a level of reading/following code for EEs. Knowledge of computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, ethernet, SPI, CAN, etc.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Software experience controlling test instrumentation via LabVIEW, software SCPI commands, or similar
• Experience designing/integrating full engineering and production test systems (analog, digital, mixed signal, RF), test interface adapters, interconnect drawings, mixed-signal cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
