Job summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC WASH with electrical engineering SOW development and project delivery methods DBB/DB. The role requires reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and assisting the Contracting Officer in negotiations with General Contractors.

The candidate should have a strong background in electrical design for shore-based engineering projects, with the ability to estimate design/construction efforts and work toward

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience in designing and producing electrical facility design drawings and specifications.
• Background check required with the ability to obtain an interim secret or secret clearance, prior to hire and start.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation for electrical power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications systems.
• Perform inspections and develop studies, designs, and construction documents.
• Conduct on-site field inspections of ongoing construction projects.
• Assist construction manager in monitoring construction progress for quality and timeliness.
• Review plans and specifications for complex electrical systems in healthcare, power plants, geothermal, plating shop and similar facilities.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, catalogs, and certificates of compliance.
• Other duties as assigned
