Position Summary
The Electrical Engineering Technician will support the Hardware Engineering organization in the validation,troubleshooting,repair,andcontinuousimprovementofhigh-performanceserver platforms, liquid-cooled GPU systems, air-cooled computing platforms, networkingproducts, and rack-level infrastructure. Thisroleservesasa technicalextension of theElectricalEngineeringteam, assisting with root cause analysis, engineering builds, failure verification, and manufacturing support activities across New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining production.
The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on electronics troubleshooting skills, is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and can effectively
- · Performelectricaltroubleshootingandfailureanalysisofservermotherboards,GPUtrays, switch assemblies, power distribution boards, PCIe subsystems, and rack / server level hardware.
- · Perform board-level, system-level, and rack-level debugging of liquid-cooled, and air-cooled server platforms.
- · Support server-level hardware inspection and debugging using EE provided QMN/QCI tools to disassemble PCB modules, cabling, and other related hardware to support daily production output and goals.
- · Supportengineeringinvestigationsbyreproducingfieldandmanufacturing failures.
- · Execute engineering validationtesting using oscilloscopes, digitalmultimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- · Collect,document,andorganize testdata,photographs,schematics,andrepair findings.
- · AssistwithdebugofnewhardwareduringNPI builds as well as ongoing RMA and sustaining projects.
- · Build,modify,andmaintainengineeringtestfixtures,harnesses,andprototype assemblies. Inspect, verify, and troubleshoot direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems including cold plates, coolant distribution units (CDUs), manifolds, pumps, hoses, quick disconnects (QDs), and coolant flow paths.
- · Perform component-level diagnostics and identify suspect circuits using schematics, board layouts, and technical documentation.
- · Support manufacturingbyverifyingrepairs,validatingprocesschanges,andhelping reduce repeat failures.
- · InterfacedailywithOperations,TestEngineering,QualityEngineering,Manufacturing Engineering, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- · Maintainaccuraterecordsofengineeringactivities,repairs,andvalidation results.
- · Support implementationofprocess improvementsthat increase first-passyield and reduce defect recurrence.
Minimum Qualifications
- · Associate'sDegreeinElectricalEngineeringTechnology,ElectronicsTechnology,orrelated technical field, or equivalent military experience.
- · Abilitytoreadandinterpretelectricalschematics,PCBlayouts,andtechnical drawings.
- · 6+monthsofexperiencetroubleshootingcomplexelectronic assemblies.
- · Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, DC power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
- · Understandingofanaloganddigitalcircuit fundamentals.
- · ProficiencywithMicrosoftExcelanddocumentation tools.
- · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- · Abilitytoworkindependentlywhilemanagingmultiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- · Bachelor’sDegree inElectricalEngineeringTechnology,ElectronicsTechnology,orrelated technicalfield.
- · 3+yearsofexperiencetroubleshootingcomplexelectronic assemblies.
- · Experiencesupportingserver,networking,telecommunications, industrial electronics, orhigh performance computing hardware is preferred.
- · Experience withrootcause analysis methodologiesincluding 8D,Fishbone,and5- Why.
- · BasicunderstandingofPCIe, Ethernet, powerdistribution, and high-speed digital interfaces.
- · Experience troubleshooting complex PCB assemblies using schematics, board layouts, test points, and component-level analysis during debugging and visual inspections (is a plus).
- · Self-starterwithasenseofownershipand urgency.
