Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Dallas, TX seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead electrical hardware across multiple defense programs. You will coordinate with systems, software, manufacturing, and quality teams, providing hands-on lab support and ensuring readiness across development, production, and sustainment phases.
The role demands deep circuit card design expertise, strong leadership, and experience guiding suppliers while managing cost, schedule, and performance.
You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United States and allied militaries.
The Staff Electrical Engineer will serve as a recognized subject matter expert and technical leader, providing direction and oversight for electrical hardware across the MFC portfolio. You will work side by side with systems, software, manufacturing and quality partners, providing hands on laboratory support and production assistance to keep programs on schedule, on budget and fully compliant with defense standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree or PhD preferred
Minimum 5 years of professional experience with electrical hardware design or a related discipline
Experience in electrical hardware design for development and/or production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA)
Experience troubleshooting hardware like CCAs, harnesses, etc
Proven background providing production line support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
Strong hands-on skills with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and automated test equipment
Experience dispositioning non-conforming hardware (Material Review Board)
Demonstrated ability to lead IPT efforts, present to program leadership and government customers, and manage multiple priorities concurrently
Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
Exceptional communication skills — ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy
Experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools
Experience with missile systems or hypersonic weapon systems
Project management skillsets including leadership, planning/organization, risk management, and financial acumen
Experience applying Control Account Management (CAM) and EVMS methodologies
Proposal experience authoring and reviewing basis of estimates
Demonstrated ability to lead technical investigations to determine root cause of hardware and software failures
Experience developing system-level architectures and grounding diagrams
Experience developing and presenting material at external customer meetings
Experience working within a multifunctional team and leading cross-functional technical efforts
Knowledge of process improvement methodology
Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
