Position: Electrical Engineer - Sr. Project Manager

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Sr. Project Manager in one of the following locations: Belleville, Champaign, Normal, Peoria, Springfield (IL), or St. Louis (MO). This key position will serve as a project manager for the local electrical engineering team supporting local and nationwide clients.

Qualified candidates must have solid technical experience with electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and construction administration. The role involves developing and mentoring staff, collaborating with other disciplines, establishing and maintaining budgets, and partnering with leadership across the company. Job duties include managing projects and ensuring quality in lighting, power systems, fire alarm, communications, and data. Projects will involve commercial, governmental, healthcare, educational, and industrial facilities.

Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering related to the Building Construction Industry
• Professional Engineer License (PE) required
• 10+ years of Building Electrical and Lighting Design experience
• Project Management experience in building power systems, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and data
• Knowledge of electrical, building, and energy codes (desired)
• Provide direction to Designers and CAD Technicians
• Prior management experience (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT
• Ability to travel

Compensation

Salary range: $95,000 - $130,000, depending on education, experience, and skills.
