Job summary

ANS is seeking an electrical engineer in Overland Park, KS to design and develop electrical systems for solar and battery storage projects. You will perform feasibility studies, power system modeling, and create technical drawings while adhering to NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NERC standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
FE/EIT Certification.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Design and development of electrical systems for solar and battery storage projects.
Conducting feasibility studies, power system modeling, and electrical calculations.
Creating and reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ensuring designs comply with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NERC standards.
(If licensed) Stamping engineering drawings.
Providing mentorship and leading teams (for mid/senior-level candidates).
Supporting construction, commissioning, and site visits.
Staying current on renewable energy technologies.
Contributing technical expertise to business development and proposals.
