Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative building design team in Charlotte, NC. You will design electrical systems for complex building projects and lead technical efforts.

The role requires a PE license and 6+ years of related experience; you will mentor staff, serve as Engineer of Record on selected projects, and ensure NEC/NFPA compliance while pursuing energy-efficient designs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Current PE license and NCEES licensure in at least one state.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for complex building projects
• Design normal and emergency power distribution systems, including generators, UPS, and ATS
• Design lighting, lighting controls, and life-safety systems
• Develop construction documents, specifications, equipment selections, and electrical models
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and other design professionals
• Direct and mentor designers throughout project development
• Conduct field investigations and site visits
• Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
• Oversee construction, installation, and operational testing
• Ensure designs comply with NEC/NFPA 70 and applicable industry standards

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an opportunity where you can take on greater responsibility, work on challenging building projects, and continue to grow professionally?

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative building design team working on commercial, institutional, healthcare, municipal, and office projects.

This opportunity offers flexibility based on experience. Engineers with 6+ years of strong building electrical design experience are encouraged to apply, as are more senior engineers ready to take ownership of projects, serve as Engineer of Record, and mentor junior staff.

What You’ll Do

• Design electrical systems for complex building projects

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of related electrical engineering experience
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license
• NCEES registration and licensure in at least one U.S. state
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination skills

Healthcare experience is preferred. Experience with other complex commercial, institutional, municipal, or similar building projects is welcome.
