Job summary

ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the Alaskan Satellite Telecommunications Infrastructure (ASTI) team, supporting the FAA. This full-time, on-site role is based at the Anchorage ARTCC (ZAN) in Anchorage, AK.

The position requires a US citizen, relocation within commutable distance, and a US-equivalent degree. Strong troubleshooting, Python, and documentation skills are essential for field support and system design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related IT field (ABET).
Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is desirable.
0–3 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

Perform duties related to Electrical engineering, including evaluating electrical systems, equipment, and applications.
Take and support field service calls.
Provide real-time troubleshooting support to field technicians.
Document incident findings and corrective actions.
Support remote and on-site system diagnostics.
Participate in after-hours or mission-critical support when required.
Participate in system and hardware design, development, testing, and documentation creation or updates.
