Job summary

TPD is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support roadway lighting designs across multiple states. The role involves integrating into Traffic Engineering Services, Highway Services, or Access Design Services teams and contributing to a creative, flexible, supportive, and fun environment.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency with CAD/lighting tools andMS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Experience with design of roadway lighting and signal systems is ideal.
• Proficiency with CAD/lighting design software and MS Office is required.
• EIT/FE or PE license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering and design documents using CAD/engineering software.
• Develop full signal system designs including pedestrian designs.
• Perform signal timing analysis and create timing plans.
• Design roadway lighting systems per current codes and sound engineering principles.
• Assist with contracts and technical specifications for projects.
• Analyze field data and drawings to plan and design projects.
• Prepare reports, plans, schedules, permits, and designs for projects.
• Maintain quality system tasks per quality manual.
• Visit sites for light measurements and lighting assessments.
