Job summary

CX2 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and support advanced electronic systems for next-generation drone defense (counter-UAS) solutions. You will work on RF systems, embedded electronics, sensors, and power management to detect and neutralize unmanned threats across diverse environments.

The role requires 3+ years in electronics design, proficiency with Altium or KiCad, and hands-on prototyping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electronics design experience in defense or aerospace preferred.
• Experience with RF systems, antennas, and signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electronic hardware for drone detection and mitigation systems.
• Work on RF systems including signal detection, jamming, and communication modules.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes for embedded systems.
• Integrate sensors (radar, EO/IR, acoustic, RF) into defense platforms.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and systems engineers for full system integration.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in lab and field environments.
• Optimize power distribution and battery systems for portable and fixed defense platforms.
• Support EMI/EMC compliance and environmental testing (MIL-STD preferred).
• Analyze system performance and improve reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in field deployments and system demonstrations.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or some weekends for mission critical deadlines.
