Plan B Climatech in New York is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a leading US data center design firm. You will work on power distribution, one-line diagrams, load calculations, and coordination on large, complex projects, with training to become a data center specialist.
The role emphasizes strong electrical design fundamentals, potential PE license, and the opportunity for career progression from Engineer to Senior and Lead while gaining exposure to critical power design.
We're working with one of the leading data center design firms in the US, and they want to add an Electrical Engineer to their team. They design critical facilities for some of the biggest names in technology. This is a chance to break into one of the fastest-growing sectors in MEP engineering.
You don't need data center or mission critical experience. The firm wants strong Electrical Engineers from commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or any other building sector, and they'll train you in critical power design. You bring good electrical design fundamentals and they'll make you a data center specialist.
You'll work on power distribution, one-line diagrams, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, and emergency and standby power. You'll also produce construction document sets in Revit and AutoCAD. Working closely with the mechanical and plumbing teams, you'll coordinate across disciplines on large, technically complex projects.
Data center demand isn't slowing down. Engineers with critical power experience are some of the most sought-after people in the industry, and this firm will give you that experience without asking you to have it already. You'll get large-scale project exposure, mentoring from engineers who are recognized experts in the field, and a clear path from Electrical Engineer to Senior and then Lead. It's a stable firm with a full pipeline, and it invests in its people.
