Job summary

Salas O'Brien's San Antonio office is seeking a personable Electrical Engineer with a P.E. to join a multi-discipline design team.

The role includes business development, marketing, and project management duties, with responsibility for total electrical systems design, code compliance, and client interactions. The candidate will lead projects, coordinate with architects and owners, supervise staff, and contribute to pursuit strategies, while growing technical capabilities within a collaborative

Qualifications

Candidates should have a B.S. in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of building electrical power design experience.
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
Experience with healthcare or commercial building projects is a plus.
Strong communication and client-relations skills.
Proven project management experience.

Responsibilities

Design the total electrical systems for specific projects.
Perform calculations integral to the electrical design.
Apply applicable building codes and standards.
Interact with clients/owners to determine project needs.
As Project Manager, lead and supervise projects to ensure time, quality and communications.
Assist market segment manager with manpower projections and scheduling.
Supervise electrical staff in project execution and meetings.
Provide marketing support for project pursuits.
Demonstrate ongoing professional growth and collaboration with the team.
