Job summary

Mirion is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support transferring electro-mechanical product designs from R&D to Manufacturing and to optimize day-to-day operations. The role focuses on continuous process improvement and cost-out initiatives to help the business deliver value to customers.

You will troubleshoot, prototype, document, and implement design changes while collaborating with repair technicians and contract manufacturers to ensure quality and reliability across production lines.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years in engineering or manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office and technical writing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with repair technicians to ensure effective troubleshooting and repair.
• Recommend design changes to improve quality, performance, cost and reliability.
• Build and test prototypes for new product development.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain manuals, test procedures and BOMs.
• Develop PCB layout, electrical schematics, and complete assemblies.
• Develop test plans for hardware/software verification and validation.
• Perform hardware/software verification and validation testing.
• Develop and implement process control techniques for manufacturing.
• Create assembly procedures and work instructions and provide training and oversight.
• Manage transfer of PC boards to contract manufacturers and resolve issues.
