Job summary

Mirion Technologies in Florham Park, NJ is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support transferring electro-mechanical designs from R&D to Manufacturing and to sustain day-to-day operations.

You will work on design changes for quality, cost and reliability, build prototypes and develop test plans for hardware/software verification. The role requires 3–5 years in industry, a BSEE, and hands-on experience with test equipment; travel and lifting up to 30 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong communication and technical writing abilities.
• Experience with design transfer and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support transfer of electro-mechanical designs from R&D to Manufacturing.
• Improve product quality, performance, cost, and reliability.
• Build and test prototypes for new product development.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain manuals, test procedures, and BOMs.
• Develop PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and complete assemblies.
• Develop test plans for hardware/software verification and validation.
• Perform hardware/software verification and validation testing.
• Implement process control techniques for manufacturing.
• Create assembly procedures and provide training for implementation.
• Manage transfer of PC Boards to contract manufacturer and resolve issues.
