Job summary

Cache Valley Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design and analysis of electrical distribution systems for commercial, industrial, data center, and healthcare facilities.

The role involves developing electrical designs, construction documents, and performing power system studies while coordinating with project management, engineering, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with NEC and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution systems for various facilities.
• Produce construction drawings, designs, and specs.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies.
• Develop budgetary electrical designs for bids and estimates.
• Provide technical support during construction.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Guide project management and field teams technically.
• Visit sites to assess conditions and troubleshoot issues.
• Use MS Office and PDF tools like Bluebeam for documentation.
• Develop proficiency with Autodesk suite (Revit, Cymcap, etc.).
• Help maintain engineering standards and project workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and field staff.
