Talen Energy is seeking an engineering professional to join its team. You will collaborate with engineers on projects across power plant disciplines, applying established procedures to produce technically sound, cost-effective designs and recommendations.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and effective communication in a structured field environment. Ideal candidates will have an ABET-accredited engineering degree, internship or co-op experience in energy, and an Engineer in Training

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in smaller engineering projects or defined areas of larger projects.
• Use existing procedures to investigate, evaluate and help design cost-effective solutions.
• Build relationships to facilitate knowledge transfer and present work clearly.
• Work under supervision in the field across various functions to develop competencies.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using defined procedures, including routine testing.
• Continuously expand technical and business skills with guidance from others.
• Assist in developing innovative procedures and improved design recommendations.
