Job summary

Targa Resources seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and support electrical systems for midstream facilities, ensuring safety and reliability. The role partners with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include evaluating equipment, preparing bids, reviewing electrical designs, and coordinating with external contractors to meet project scope while adhering to standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and API electrical codes and regulations.
• Willing to travel at least 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Specify, evaluate, and select electrical equipment for operations and major/complex projects.
• Prepare technical bids and evaluate proposals.
• Review electrical system designs including power generation, distribution, motor/plant logic, and control systems.
• Coordinate with outside engineering contractors to ensure conformance with Targa specifications.
• Develop and maintain electrical engineering specifications and facility electrical area classification drawings.
