Job summary

Targa Resources in Denver, CO seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and support electrical systems and equipment for midstream facilities, ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, API, and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop specifications, perform power system studies, review contracts, and guide safety and reliability initiatives throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, government regulations, and standards (NFPA, NEC, API).
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Specify and select electrical equipment for operations and projects.
• Prepare bids, evaluate proposals, and provide technical recommendations.
• Analyze electrical system designs including power, distribution, and safety systems.
• Review utility contracts and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
• Develop and maintain electrical specifications and area classification drawings.
