Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, OH is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the site’s electrical SME. You will design, optimize, and lead power distribution systems for manufacturing operations, influencing safety, reliability, and efficiency across multimillion-dollar projects.

Responsibilities include managing capital projects from concept through startup, coordinating with diverse teams, and improving electrical safety and infrastructure reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; power systems emphasis preferred.
• Seven+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage power distribution and reliability programs.
• Experience with power system studies and arc flash analysis.
• Experience planning electrical maintenance outages and shutdowns.
• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for capital projects including power distribution, diagrams, motor control, grounding, and lighting protection.
• Manage electrical capital projects from concept to startup with scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and execution plans.
• Collaborate with project engineers, control systems engineers, operations, maintenance, and EPCs to deliver safe, reliable outcomes.
• Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities for electrical systems upgrades.
• Own and continuously improve the site's electrical model, safety program, and reliability strategy.
• Develop preventive, predictive, repair, and replacement plans for transformers, switchgear, and MCCs.
