Job summary

LeoForce in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to perform power systems studies, short-circuit analysis, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency with SKM, ETAP, ASPEN or EZPower. Travel, field work at substations, and strong communication skills are valued in this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience; prefer Power Systems focus.
  • Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies is preferred.
  • Must have experience using power system modeling software such as SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, or EZPower.
  • Knowledge of low, medium and high voltage up to 500 kV is required.
  • Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, with customers and co-workers.

  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable doing so directly to customers and co-workers.
  • Field experience with substations or switchgear highly desirable.
  • Utility design experience a plus.
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel a plus.
