Job summary

Exponent, a premier engineering and scientific consulting firm, seeks an Electrical Engineer for its Menlo Park practice. You will apply electrical engineering and consulting expertise to deliver valuable client contributions within a multidisciplinary team.

PhD preferred; strong lab skills and ability to communicate technical conclusions to diverse stakeholders are essential. On-site work in Menlo Park, CA with opportunities for business development and growth.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred; a Ph.D. in a closely related field will be considered.
• Strong background in electronics, power electronics, power systems or circuit design preferred.
• Strong electrical lab skills, including familiarity with electrical test equipment, test setup and design, and data analysis.
• Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical staff in engineering, business, and industry.
• Ability to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering Practice and its consulting services.
• U.S. work authorization; no immigration sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering analyses in electronics, power electronics, and electrical failure analysis.
• Prepare technical proposals and pursue business development opportunities.
• Critically assess test results, methods of analysis, and testing protocols; write reports.
• Work on multiple concurrent projects as an individual contributor and in multidisciplinary teams.
