Organization and Position Overview

Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.

We are seeking electrical engineers who will be responsible for the site power distribution systems and electrical supply and distribution equipment. These engineering roles are core to delivering our product pipeline across batch and continuous API production and development.


Responsibilities


Facility Start-Up:

  • Provide Engineering Support to theGlobal Facility DeliveryTeam(Lilly’Global LargeScaleCapitalDeliveryTeam)With A Strong Focus on Right First Time and on Schedule Facility Start-Up(E.G.Design Reviews,Process Safety Assessments,User Requirements, C&Q Support, Unit OperationShakedown and Startup, Facility Operational Readiness)
  • Define And Own Relevant Aspects of the Overall Integrated Operational ReadinessPlan(E.G.Procedure Development,Maintenance Strategies,Automation Optimization,Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Alarm Requirements, Performance Qualification Requirements/Protocol Development,Etc.)
  • Own Qualified State of Equipment for RespectiveArea of Responsibility
  • SupportInitialOperationsTraining RequirementsastheEquipmentand AreaSME


Facility Operations:

  • Monitor, Assess and Document Equipment Performance to Maintain Ongoing Qualification.
  • Develop And Maintain the Basis of Electrical Safety for Equipment as Required.
  • Identify And Implement Continuous Improvement Opportunities Related to Equipment and Processes as Core Member of Cross-Functional Process Team.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis Techniques to Investigate Process and Equipment Issues and Deliver Robust and Sustainable Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Collaborate With Maintenance Teams to Plan and Complete Scheduled Maintenance Activities, Including Equipment Calibration and Testing.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ Years of Relevant Experience in electrical power systems design and operations in a manufacturing environment.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $167,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
