Job summary

OxyChem in Convent, LA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance for plant electrical systems. You will develop procedures, support reliability improvements and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in maintenance, and knowledge of NFPA 70/NFPA 70E. You will participate in outages, cost estimates, and incident investigations while coordinating with production and maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with knowledge of electrical power and maintenance.
• 5+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E codes.
• Experience with electrical equipment up to the 230KV level.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing, monitoring and calibration procedures for electrical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance to improve reliability and reduce cost.
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance groups.
• Lead electrical incident investigations with root cause analysis.
• Manage electrical PM programs and capital projects.
