Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. Ottawa Plant in Ottawa, IL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and train maintenance and production personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
Ability to read electrical schematics and relay ladder diagrams.
CAD proficiency and document organization skills.
PLC programming and troubleshooting; BASIC and C knowledge beneficial.
Experience designing electrical circuits for industrial control.
Understand OSHA and NEC codes in electrical designs.
Experience working around moving machines and high temperatures.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and training for maintenance and production personnel.
Coordinate electrical activities for hot end, coatings, cold end, and facilities at the Ottawa site.
Lead projects to improve production costs, quality, and safety.
Collaborate with plant and technical center engineers to improve designs and reduce costs.
Investigate electrical supply, control systems, and software changes; implement solutions.
Maintain CAD drawings and ensure accuracy of plant electrical drawings.
