Dewberry is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Fairfax, VA area with a Professional Engineering (PE) license. The role focuses on designing and producing electrical construction documents for commercial and institutional projects, leveraging BIM and collaboration across trades.

Remote work options may be available; candidates should have strong experience in electrical power, lighting and fire alarm design and be able to contribute to innovative building systems within a multi-discipline

Qualifications

• BSEE or Arch Engineering degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting and fire alarm system design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, drawing production and BIM for electrical systems in commercial/institutional projects.
• Coordinate between trades, write specifications, review submittals and conduct site reviews.
• Assist with base building and tenant interior systems, including microgrids, EV charging, fault current studies and BESS.
