Job summary

Summit Professional Engineering in Washington State seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to design and oversee electrical systems across multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, retail, and healthcare projects. You will lead design efforts, stamp PE documents, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects and MEP teams in a hybrid Spokane or Mountlake Terrace office.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the State of Washington.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design across multiple project types.
• Proven experience with electrical power, lighting and control systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant electrical codes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee electrical systems from concept to construction documents.
• Coordinate with architects and other design professionals for integrated designs.
• Perform load calculations, circuit design and system modeling.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and safety standards.
• Review and stamp design documents as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• Lead QA/QC reviews, specifications and technical reports.
• Participate in client meetings and provide mentorship to staff.
