Job summary

AdvanceTEC, LLC in Richmond, VA, seeks a Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in design, implementation, and commissioning of power distribution, low voltage, fire alarms, door interlocks, and Building Management Systems (BMS) in cleanroom environments.

Lead electrical design for 480/277/120 V systems, create one-line diagrams and panel schedules, specify transformers, switchgear, UPS, and emergency power.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed PE in multiple states or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Low voltage systems (telecom, data, controls).
• Door interlock and access control systems experience.
• BMS integration with electrical systems.
• Knowledge of cleanroom requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for power distribution and LV systems.
• Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and lighting layouts.
• Specify transformers, switchgear, panels, UPS, and emergency power.
• Design and coordinate fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 and local codes.
• Design and implement door interlock systems and access control for spaces.
• Integrate BMS with electrical and mechanical systems for monitoring.
• Provide engineering support during construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, UL and local codes.
