Overview

We have been retained by our client, a growing AE Firm in the Charlotte area, to find an Electrical Engineer to work on a variety of Federal/DoD Building Projects. In this position, the responsibilities include the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems and components, particularly in the context of generating electrical details for construction blueprints. The role also entails the assessment and application of conventional electrical engineering methods, site visits for condition documentation, and offering technical advice for various construction projects, including involvement in bid assessments and overseeing major construction endeavors.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Electrical/Communications design and analysis on Federal Building projects
  • Conduct thorough site examinations to document existing conditions
  • Execute design quality checks for electrical/communications projects to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in the assessment of contract bids, recommend feasibility study ideas to senior engineers, and help manage large construction projects
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT
  • 3+ years of Electrical Engineering design experience related to building construction
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license
  • Communication design
  • Federal/DoD Building Projects experience
  • LEED-AP certified
  • RegisteredCommunication Distribution Design
  • Project Management experience
