Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX seeks an experienced electrical engineer to conduct field investigations, determine work scope and cost estimates for electrical engineering aspects of a major facility project.

You will lead design, development and modification of electrical components and processes, coordinating with other disciplines and external stakeholders, with part-time telework and at least three days in person weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 5–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with medium to large electrical systems and substations; knowledge of 34.5kV/13.8kV and 480/208/120V systems.
• Professional Registration License (P.E.) in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, and applies electrical engineering methods with independent judgment for adaptations.
• Participates in design, development, and modification of components and processes for electricity generation, transmission, and storage.
• Coordinates work with other engineering disciplines and with client, vendors, and construction teams.
• Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Provides technical assistance and interacts with customers and regulatory agencies on complex issues.
• Assists project and construction management in identifying and addressing electrical requirements during execution.
