Job summary

Viking Masek Packaging Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design, controls development, system integration, and commissioning of automated packaging equipment. You will manage PLC, HMI, and motion control programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable packaging automation solutions.

The role covers design, integration, testing, commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, and ongoing support across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a four-year degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of PLC/HMI programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
• Proficiency with PLC languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram).
• Proficiency in understanding electrical circuits, wiring, sensors, actuators, and relays.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and controls requirements per project specifications.
• Integrate controls with third-party systems and develop BOMs.
• Support assembly, testing, commissioning, FAT and SAT activities.
• Lead electrical and controls design planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support during development, startup, and customer support.
• Create and maintain documentation with revision control and best practices.
