Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer- New Graduate to design and implement electrical controls and power systems for industrial refrigeration projects.

You will assist from concept through installation under the guidance of senior engineers. Responsibilities include developing designs, creating BOMs, supporting purchasing, and coordinating with fabrication and project teams to ensure proper implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to jobsites during the first 1-2 years of training.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design electrical controls and power systems.
• Produce preliminary and final design drawings and documentation using CAD software.
• Complete required design calculations.
• Perform lighting design for industrial warehousing.
• Create controls BOMs and take-offs.
• Assist with purchasing of related materials.
• Ensure designs align with company procedures, regulations, and client standards.
• Submit drawings to upper management and construction teams.
• Provide support during the building and installation process to ensure proper implementation.
• Build Bills of Materials (BOM) for each design and enter data into ERP system.
• Consult with fabrication teams during manufacturing and offer assistance as needed.
• Coordinate with purchasing on material orders.
• Communicate with vendors regarding part specifications and fabrication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Electrical Engineering

Job Role:

Requirements

Preferences

• Strong interest in learning and growth in electrical engineering and refrigeration systems
• Prior experience in electrical design
• EIT License
• Interest in pursuing a PE license
• HVAC/MEP experience
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D
