Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Panama City Beach, Florida, at the Holley Engineering and Integration Center. You will support Navy projects, contribute to design and integration efforts, and develop engineering leadership quickly.

The role involves designing electrical and control systems, MBSE, feasibility studies, supervising technicians, interfacing with program management, and preparing technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in engineering roles.
  • Experience with electric motors and VFDs (variable frequency drives).
  • U.S. citizen able to obtain a Secret clearance; SAIC sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on a variety of technical projects.
  • Design electrical and control systems, equipment and packages.
  • Capture design requirements using MBSE principles.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing of new and modified designs.
  • Direct support to program managers on technical issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation and assist drafting.
  • Review drawings and specifications for procurement actions.
  • Support reporting and investigations related to identified issues.
