Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering, or CM|MC, in Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks an Electrical Engineer to produce detailed drawings and perform advanced electrical calculations.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, design mission-critical lighting and power systems, and ensure code compliance. 0–7 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering are required; E.I.T. is preferred and PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 0–7 years of electrical engineering design experience.
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required; PE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce highly detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform complex electrical engineering calculations.
• Coordinate with internal and external project team members.
• Design lighting systems with photometric analysis and fixture selection.
• Design emergency/standby power systems including generators and UPS.
• Conduct NEC/NFPA/IBC code analyses and voltage drop calculations.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase documentation.
