Job summary

CPH is seeking an Electrical Engineer, PE to join our MEP team in Orlando, FL. You will lead design and implementation of electrical systems for diverse projects, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a PE license (preferred) and at least 5 years of electrical experience, with strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA and drafting tools like AutoCAD or Revit. This is an on-site position offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools; strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems projects (power distribution, lighting, motor controls, instrumentation).
• Create and review detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet schedules and budgets.
• Review designs and calculations for quality and adherence to project requirements.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safety compliance with regulations and standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and status updates.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to management and clients.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to integrate electrical designs.
• Support field activities including site inspections, start-up, and commissioning.
