Job summary

Legence is seeking Electrical Engineers with consulting engineering experience to join our nationwide teams, including P2S and CMTA. This role may be filled at the Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer level, depending on candidate experience.

Final title and compensation will be aligned accordingly. This position supports the design of high‑performance electrical systems for a variety of project types, including commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in MEP consulting engineering for commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC and building codes; PE licensure a plus.
• FE/EIT registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency and standby power, UPS, renewable energy systems, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems (IT, security, access control, life safety).
• Prepare, review, and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Apply sound engineering principles and industry best practices to solve design challenges.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal engineering teams with clear communication.
• Lead small to medium projects from concept through construction; mentor junior engineers.
