Job summary

COMPA Industries, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer (Level 2) for a 1-year assignment at LANL to support the Plutonium Rapid Response Team.

The role covers design, review, and field support for electrical systems up to 480V and includes construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination. Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 3+ years of relevant experience, with the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of DOE/NNSA codes and nuclear facility requirements.
Willingness to obtain and maintain a DOE 'Q' clearance.
Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Perform conventional electrical engineering design and calculations for low-power applications.
Develop and support engineering design packages and construction documents.
Produce and interpret construction documentation for projects.
Provide field and project engineering support, including field mitigation.
Review LAP-4 and internal designs and support changes requested by the team.
Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Interface with stakeholders across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
Apply engineering tools to deliver high-quality work and improve processes.
