OLH Inc. in Los Alamos, NM is seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 to manage activities within the electrical engineering discipline. This role involves complex engineering analyses for facility design, operation, and support.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include engineering design, preparing engineering packages, and providing construction support while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
This position requires the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
Duration: 1 year with two (2) 1-year renewal options. One (1) position available. U.S. citizenship is required (with very limited exceptions). Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
The Electrical Engineer 2 is responsible for assigned activities within an engineering discipline in support of facility design, operation and maintenance. Applies broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in the preparation of complex engineering analyses. Performs all aspects of work in engineering operations within discipline. Performs conventional structural design and analysis. Provides system integration within and across disciplines. Provides construction and project support. May provide direction to technicians. Able to work independently and as part of a team, utilizes engineering technology to accomplish work. Continuously improves work processes to meet customer needs.
This role may require a weekend shift schedule. After completion of a training period, employees may work Friday–Monday, 10‑hour shifts. The training period will follow a Tuesday–Friday, 10‑hour shift schedule. Shift/weekend assignments are determined by management based on operational needs.
