Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a well-rounded Electrical Engineer (Manufacturing) in San Diego to contribute across the full product lifecycle, from design to mass production. The role emphasizes hands-on PCB design, hardware/software integration, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will design PCBs with Altium, support NPI/NIA/ECRs/ECOs, perform testing with oscilloscopes, and lead or participate in cross-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout.
• Experience with Linux, Python, C++, SQL or equivalent programming.
• Knowledge of GMP and sustaining engineering; manufacturing support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBs/PCBA using Altium Designer, including schematic design and component selection.
• Support manufacturing through NPI, NIA, ECRs, and ECOs.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, analyzers, and meters.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document manufacturing/rework instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, repairs, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
• Validate new designs and release to mass production.
• Lead, manage, or participate in cross-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBAs using Altium Designer, including schematic design and component selection.
• Support manufacturing through New Product Introduction (NPI), New Item Add (NIA), ECRs, and ECOs.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and meters.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide product support for failed units. Define and document manufacturing and rework instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, repairs, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
• Validate new designs and ensure successful release to mass production.
• Lead, manage, or participate in cross-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications
