Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based startup building portable nuclear microreactors, seeks a Summer 2027 Electrical Engineer Intern to join the team onsite at HQ.

You will assist with design, modeling, and analysis of electrical systems, support hardware testing and troubleshooting, and contribute to schematics and technical reports.

Collaborate with mechanical, software, and nuclear engineers in a fast-paced environment, participate in lab work and prototyping, and learn through hands-on projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of circuit design, power systems, or control systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, SPICE, or CAD software is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, modeling, and analysis of electrical systems and components.
• Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, software, nuclear) to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Contribute to documentation, schematics, and technical reports.
• Participate in lab and prototyping work as needed.
